The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). The program’s two primary operating locations are Vandenberg AFB, CA and Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.

We are seeking a Mission & Range Scheduler to track & integrate project and mission readiness activities across the Office of Space Launch. In this role, you will deconflict and identify high interest activities on the Western Range, and coordinate approval through the 30th Space Wing.

Summary of Key Duties for this position:

  • Track progress and resource constraints for multiple mission readiness activities
  • Develop and maintain schedule of integrated activities for program and mission partners up to day of launch
  • Coordinate with the Western Range to ensure deconfliction and approval for activities
  • Communicate across organizations and with senior leadership to relay progress, identify shortfalls, and highlight key milestones
  • Track and brief weather or other potential hazards to mission activities

Basic Qualifications

  • Well versed with Microsoft Project, developing schedules & deconflicting resources.
  • Able to effectively deliver briefings and information to government & other personnel

Desired skills

  • Experience in scheduling & working with conflicting priorities.
  • Able to track multiple projects at various phases to completion, identifying resource constraints across multiple groups.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple organizations to obtain information and develop collaborative strategies.
  • Familiarity with Western Range activities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
